Digital X-Rays
Dr. Eng uses X-rays for early identification of dental problems. Finding these hidden issues before they become problems can save you money and the need for more extensive procedures or surgeries. Using X-rays we can detect:
- Internal tooth decay
- Teeth that are still coming in
- Impacted Teeth
- Cysts
- Tumors
At East Lake Advancing Dentistry, we use digital x-rays. Digital x-rays have several advantages over film X-rays. They use 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from with traditional x-rays. This means that the worry of exposure to excess radiation is eliminated!
Digital allows for us to have large on-screen X-rays images, making patient communication more effective. Digital also allows us to have immediate viewing of the images allowing immediate conversation between Dentist and patient.
Digital x-rays allows the dentist and patient to see images of the teeth in higher resolution for easier detection of problems. This process has enhanced dentistry, giving us clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.
Because digital x-rays are fast, if an image needs to be retaken, it can be done immediately. This format also allows us to send and receive your images electronically for consultation with other dental staff.
